谢明（Ming Hsieh）院士

Ming Hsieh is a member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering, a renowned entrepreneur, and an engineering and technology expert. He is a distinguished alumnus of the University of Southern California (USC) and currently serves as a USC Life Trustee. Hsieh has long been engaged in the fields of electrical engineering and biometric identification technologies. He founded Cogent and advanced the wide application of fingerprint identification and related technologies in public safety, and the company was later acquired by 3M. In 2015, he was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the engineering development and commercialization of automated fingerprint identification systems. Hsieh has deep ties with USC and has strongly supported the university’s development in engineering, medicine, and interdisciplinary research. Multiple USC institutions bear his name, reflecting his significant influence in the technology and higher education communities of Southern California.
陈列平（Lieping Chen）院士
陈列平（Lieping Chen），1960年生于福建泉州，美籍华裔免疫学家，肿瘤免疫疗法先驱。1982年毕业于福建医学院，1986年获北京协和医学院硕士学位，后赴美攻读博士。现任耶鲁大学医学院UTC癌症研究讲席教授，兼任免疫生物学、皮肤病学及医学教授。1999年，陈列平首先在肿瘤细胞表面发现PD-L1分子，并率先将抗PD-1/PD-L1抗体推向临床试验，开创了肿瘤免疫检查点疗法的新纪元，为全球数百万癌症患者带来了生存希望。他是美国国家科学院院士、美国国家医学院院士，台湾中央研究院院士，并荣获Warren Alpert基金会奖等多项国际大奖，同时担任美国华裔教授学者协会荣誉会员。
Lieping Chen was born in 1960 in Quanzhou, Fujian. He is a Chinese American immunologist and a pioneer in cancer immunotherapy. He graduated from Fujian Medical College in 1982 and received his master’s degree from Peking Union Medical College in 1986, after which he went to the United States for further doctoral training. He is currently the United Technologies Corporation Professor in Cancer Research at Yale School of Medicine, and also serves as Professor of Immunobiology, Dermatology, and Medicine. In 1999, Dr. Chen was the first to identify the PD-L1 molecule on the surface of tumor cells and was among the first to advance anti-PD-1/PD-L1 antibodies into clinical trials, ushering in a new era of immune checkpoint therapy for cancer and bringing hope of survival to millions of cancer patients worldwide. He is a Member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, a Member of the U.S. National Academy of Medicine, an Academician of Academia Sinica, and a recipient of numerous international honors, including the Warren Alpert Foundation Prize. He also serves as an Honorary Member of the Association of Chinese Professors and Scholars in America.

朱棣文（Steven Chu），1948年生于美国密苏里州，祖籍江苏太仓，著名物理学家。1976年获加州大学伯克利分校物理学博士学位，后任职于贝尔实验室。1987年起担任斯坦福大学物理学教授，成为该校首位华裔教授，并曾任物理系主任。1997年因发展激光冷却与捕陷原子的技术荣获诺贝尔物理学奖。2009年至2013年出任美国第12任能源部部长，成为首位担任美国内阁职务的诺贝尔奖得主。现为斯坦福大学William R. Kenan Jr.物理学讲席教授，同时担任美国国家科学院院士、中国科学院外籍院士，以及美国华裔教授学者协会荣誉会员。
Professor Steven Chu was born in 1948 in Missouri, United States, with ancestral roots in Taicang, Jiangsu, China. He is a world-renowned physicist. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1976 and subsequently worked at Bell Laboratories. In 1987, he joined Stanford University as Professor of Physics, becoming the first Chinese American professor at Stanford, and later served as Chair of the Department of Physics. In 1997, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics for the development of methods to cool and trap atoms with laser light. From 2009 to 2013, he served as the 12th United States Secretary of Energy, becoming the first Nobel laureate to hold a U.S. Cabinet position. He is currently the William R. Kenan Jr. Professor of Physics at Stanford University, a Member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, a Foreign Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and an Honorary Member of the Association of Chinese Professors and Scholars in America.
钱煦（Shu Chien）院士
钱煦（Shu Chien），1931年生于北平，祖籍浙江杭州，美籍华裔生理学家与生物工程学家。1953年毕业于台湾大学，1957年获哥伦比亚大学生理学博士学位。现任美国加州大学圣地亚哥分校（UCSD）惠特克生物医学工程研究院院长及冯元桢讲席教授，长期从事血液流变学、细胞生物力学及血管生理学研究。钱煦是迄今极少数同时荣膺美国国家科学院、国家工程院、国家医学院及美国文理科学院"四院"院士的科学家，并于2011年荣获美国国家科学奖章。此外，他还是中国科学院外籍院士、台湾中央研究院院士，以及美国华裔教授学者协会荣誉会员。
Shu Chien was born in 1931 in Beiping, with ancestral roots in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. He is a Chinese American physiologist and bioengineer. He graduated from National Taiwan University in 1953 and received his Ph.D. in Physiology from Columbia University in 1957. He currently serves as Director of the Whitaker Institute of Biomedical Engineering at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and holds the Y. C. Fung Endowed Chair. He has long been engaged in research on hemorheology, cellular biomechanics, and vascular physiology. Professor Chien is among the very few scientists elected to all four prestigious U.S. academies: the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, the National Academy of Medicine, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. In 2011, he was awarded the U.S. National Medal of Science. He is also a Foreign Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, an Academician of Academia Sinica, and an Honorary Member of the Association of Chinese Professors and Scholars in America.
